Platinum prefects at Blessed Trinity are making an impact in five key vital areas of school life.
The 12 senior leaders in Year 11 have action plans in the areas which they are introducing throughout the school.
The five key areas are: British Values, Faith Life, Academic Achievement, Well-Being and Rewards.
They are currently meeting with other pupils in Year 7-10 to promote their leadership roles in school.
Head Boy Alfie’s role is Well-Being. He said: “My job as Head Boy is to speak to young children to check they are ok and what I can do to help them in the future.
“I also go around to primary schools and talk to children and their parents as well. It’s a role I enjoy.”
Head Girl Beth’s area is British Values. She said: “We aim to make sure everyone knows our aims and values and how we should act.
“We have had competitions and have put posters up around the school. We also mentor the young year-groups and hope our presence around school in these roles will help.”
Olivia said: “My role is Well-Being. We want to nurture health and mental health. We are currently working on making a key ring on with important helplines on.”
Elizabeth’s area of expertise is Academic Achievement. She said: “My role is to help people achieve the best they can to the best of their abilities. It’s about promoting College life to Year 11s, helping Year 9s with options and talking to Years 7 and 8 on such topics as revision techniques and how to approach tests.”
Robbie said: “I am with Alfie and Olivia looking after Well-Being. It’s about promoting positive mental attitudes in school and making sure people don’t feel that they are alone.”
Aiden is one of the 12 and he said: “My role is Rewards, to think of different ways of rewarding pupils, such as with coupons and vouchers. It’s important good work and good behaviour is recognised.”
Olivia and Aaron are responsible for promoting Faith Life in school.
Olivia said: “We have had a few assemblies and, as well as promoting worship, we are also raising awareness of charities such as Safenet and Cafod.”
