Blessed Trinity English teacher Mr Park has completed a marathon for PAPYRUS in memory of his sister.

PAPYRUS is a prevention of young suicide charity and Phil ran 26.2 miles at the Lakeland Trails Coniston Marathon, raising around £1,395.

The 27-year-old, who attended St Theodore's RC Secondary School as a student, has taught at Blessed Trinity for four years.

“I do run on a regular basis but it took six months intense training to hit marathon level. I finished in four hours 38 minutes and was 26th out of 209.

“I chose the charity PAPYRUS as I lost my sister to suicide 10 years ago and I wish to raise awareness as suicide is the biggest killer for people below the age of 35.”
