Blessed Trinity RC College: Policy Access Statement (Baker Clause)
This policy statement sets out the school’s arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils at the school for the purpose of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.
Blessed Trinity RC College use the Gatsby 8 benchmarks to inform the provision of Careers Education, Information and Guidance (CEIAG) delivered. As part of our commitment to informing students of the full range of learning and training routes available, we consider requests from training providers, vocational education routes and apprenticeship providers to speak to students and we will also approach these partners ourselves when planning and organising key CEIAG events throughout the school year.

Measuring the Impact
How the school measure and assesses the impact of the careers programme on pupils 2021 – 2022
Blessed Trinity uses the Compass Plus programme to assess ongoing progress in relation to the eight Gatsby Benchmarks. This is completed in partnership with the Careers and Enterprise company every half term.
Blessed Trinity has a Careers Programme in place which is reviewed termly and adapted to meet the needs of pupils. Various methods are used to evaluate key careers events and their impact, this data is then fed into planning for the following term. The CEC Future Skills survey will be embedded into the school careers programme and will measure pupil progress from Y7 – Y11.
KS4 Destination Data is used as a measuring tool
Currently the Careers Programme is being reviewed to take into account the recently updated CDI Framework. The school careers programme will be mapped against the six career learning development skills.
1. Grow throughout life
2. Explore possibilities
3. Manage career
4. Create opportunities
5. Balance life and work
6. See the big picture
CEIAG sits within the school personal development programme.
